"I was happy to be invited by Manuel Rocheman to be his special partner on his new album project. The music we play in Minas Gerais (south east of Brasil) is a little different from other regions of Brasil. In our compositions, we concentrate more on the harmonic progressions and use melodies with large intervals, like we're running up and down the mountains of Minas Gerais. The pianist and composer Manuel Rocheman has great talent and became a special worldwide friend. By promoting our music in France, he makes an important contribution.
My contemporary friends, who are great musicians, specially Yuri Popoff (bassist, also a great innovative composer) and Marcio Bahia (drums and percussion), made a personal contribution to this album with their unique sound and beautiful musical ideas.

I am sure that Manuel, who is a great and sensitive musician, likes the way we play Brazilian music. Between our different Brazilian tastes and the various grooves that we played on this recording, I think we reached a perfect combination. Manuel has a specific touch on the piano as well as an amazing sense of improvising. I believe that this kind of encounter between musicians is very important to the world. With the fun and joy that we shared in the studios, we developed a way to touch the audience's hearts around the planet. Merci and obrigado for all, Manuel.
