"The Radamès Gnattali Quartet was indicated for the 28th edition of the Brazilian Music Awards, on the category Álbum Erudito, with the double CD Radamés toca Radamés, released in 2016. This project began like so many others in the history of the Radamés quartet, to obtain the manuscripts, to analyze them, to edit the scores, to rehearse, to correct again and again and to play. This project in honor of the 110 years of Gnattali was made of love, effort and rich partners: We had the invaluable help of Victor Astorga in the edition of the scores and in the mixing and editing of the CD. The Marcelo Brissac who believed, supported and achieved the MEC FM Radio Symphonic Studio to record these jewels The super photographer Marizilda Cruppe and the marvelous Eneida Oliveira Déchery, Clarice Soter and Renata Figueiredo of the rec design that gave an incredible face to the graphic design of the double album and Cinthia Berman our producer that silently tied everything to the flying CD. This work is already an achievement for the Brazilian culture.

Winner of Rumos Itaú awards 2007 and XIII Carlos Gomes Award in 2009, nominated for the Latin Grammy 2012, Rio de Janeiro Government Culture Award 2012-2013 and Brazilian Music Award 2017, and the Radamés Gnattali Quartet emerged as the first in the world to record on DVD and BluRay, the 17 String Quartets of Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos. In addition to Villa-Lobos’ entire work, a discography of the group includes the following works: Quarteto Radamés interprets Ricardo Tacuchian – comprehensive work (2014), Como 4 Estações Cariocas (2011), Prelúdio 21 – String Quartet (2011) and Quadro Brasil."
