Para celebrar el décimo aniversario del fallecimiento del gran pianista y 'crooner' carioca Dick Farney (Farnésio Dutra e Silva) (Rio de Janeiro, RJ, 1921 -1987) fue lanzado este doble CD con grabaciones inéditas hasta ese momento, realizadas por el propio artista en su casa entre 1973 y 1982. Fueron registradas en cinta cassette en cuatro sesiones, las tres primeras utilizando un piano Steinway y la cuarta con un piano Yamaha. Excepto "Estrellita", del mexicano Manuel Ponce, y dos improvisaciones propias, el repertorio esta formado por 'standards' de jazz estadounidense y solamente cinco de ellos son cantados: "This love of mine", "But beautiful", "It could happen to you", "The one I love" y "One for my baby (and one more for the road)". El sonido es excelente y la interpretación aún mejor. Son casi 144 minutos de puro deleite.
El disco, que no tuvo distribución comercial, fue patrocinado por diversos organismos y servicios estatales (FIESP (Fundo de Financiamento ao estudante do Ensino Superior), CIESP (Centro das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo), SESI (Serviço Social da Indústrias), SENAI (Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial), IRS (Imposto Sobre o Rendimento das Pessoas Singulares).
